Peaches Geldof is dead
I know I wasn’t exactly Peaches Geldof’s biggest fan, but in sad news even for a non believer, Peaches Geldof has passed away aged just 25.
Because we’ve all been too busy falling for Lilo’s traps and worrying about her attention seeking Oprah sponsored ass we didn’t realize that on the other side of the celebrity tracks was Peaches in what seems to have been another tragedy.
Peaches leaves behind a husband, Thomas Cohen, and her two sons, Astala, one, and Phaedra, who will turn one on 24 April, as well as her famous parent Bob Geldof. Peaches’ mother, Paula Yates, died in a high profile overdose after the suicide of her partner Michael Hutchence so there was always a certain amount of tragedy tingeing Peaches’ life.
Her father, Bob, released this statement.
Peaches has died. We are beyond pain. She was the wildest, funniest, cleverest, wittiest and the most bonkers of all of us.
Writing “was” destroys me afresh. What a beautiful child. How is this possible that we will not see her again? How is that bearable? We loved her and will cherish her forever. How sad that sentence is.
Tom and her sons Astala and Phaedra will always belong in our family, fractured so often, but never broken.
Bob, Jeanne, Fifi, Pixie and Tiger Geldof.
No one knows what exactly happened yet, but speculation is rife after her drastic and frankly worrying weight loss in recent years and widely profiled history with drugs. Her last tweet, posted yesterday, was a picture of her as a baby with her mother. Peaches was one of the first celebrity babies to be called something wack so I guess it’s worth telling Apple Paltrow they will NEVA be Peaches.
